Amazon Launches Bedrock Agent Studio: Custom AI Workflows Without Code

On June 13, 2025, Amazon Web Services introduced Bedrock Agent Studio, a new low-code environment that allows developers and enterprise users to create AI agents and automate workflows using foundation models from Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, and Amazon’s Titan series.

You don’t need to be a machine learning engineer to build AI agents anymore,” said Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of Data and AI at AWS.¹

Bedrock Agent Studio enables users to define toolkits, memory structures, decision policies, and API actions using a drag-and-drop interface. The agents run on Amazon’s managed serverless infrastructure and connect with business systems like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and SAP without custom integration work.

Why it matters now

  • Democratizes multi-agent AI by removing dev ops and fine-tuning complexity.
  • Enables LLMs to act as decision-makers, not just responders.
  • Expands Amazon’s foothold in enterprise AI alongside SageMaker and Q.

Call-out: AI workflows for the rest of us

Amazon says that beta users built full document triage agents in under 30 minutes, reducing human handling time by 70%.

Business implications

  • Business analysts can now deploy automated AI assistants with enterprise-grade controls.
  • IT teams offload recurring ticket and service desk tasks to Bedrock-managed agents.
  • Developers can compose agents that access APIs, databases, and LLMs using reusable logic blocks.

Amazon Bedrock Agent Studio is available in preview today in U.S. East and EU West regions, with general availability expected in Q4 2025. It integrates with IAM, CloudWatch, and Amazon Q for explainability and logging.

Looking ahead

Amazon is adding multi-modal agent support later this year, allowing agents to process video, audio, and tabular data for richer decisioning. The company is also partnering with Deloitte and Accenture to offer vertical-specific templates.

Gartner predicts that by 2026, 50% of enterprise automation will involve generative agents built in low-code environments like Bedrock Agent Studio.

The upshot: With Agent Studio, Amazon is betting that the future of AI isn’t just scalable—it’s usable by everyone. In the race to mainstream AI agents, simplicity may be the ultimate disruption.
